There’s one thing that can kill your business and income in a way few other things can: inconsistency.
When I work with business owners and help network marketers create a residual income, I find that one of the changes they can make that will bring the biggest results is becoming more consistent.
Being consistent will help your business grow and make it possible for you to achieve that freedom lifestyle. Without consistency, your team, business and income will suffer.
Inconsistency in Choosing Priorities
How do you prioritize strategies, tactics and tasks that will make your business flourish? Take some time to outline what is most important and what projects will help your business grow the most. Then, make sure you are consistently prioritizing the things that will have the biggest return on investment.
It’s also important to stay consistent with tasks that seem small. Find ways to become more productive so that things like answering emails, making phone calls and book keeping don’t distract you from getting other things done.
Inconsistency in taking your Business Seriously
If you want others to take your business seriously and buy your products, you need to take it seriously. Network marketers who treat their business like a real business find success faster and even earn more money.
Take your business seriously by setting aside time every day when you will focus on it, making strategic decisions and being willing to put in the time, work and dedication it will take to make it successful.
Inconsistency as a Leader
Inconsistent leaders aren’t effective. To lead your team to success and make more money, you need to be consistent with the way you lead, your strategies, the way you approach problems and the way you prioritize your business.
Of course, you can change your mind as a leader and there will be times when you will need to change direction in order to be successful. But, even when your tactics change, the way you lead your team should remain consistent.
Develop good leadership skills like the ability to listen, inspire, delegate and mediate and then consistently use them. Consistent leaders are also more reliable, so your team members will know they can count on you and they will be more willing to give their all to reach success.
Inconsistency as a Team Member
You also need to be consistent as a team member. You need to meet deadlines, be dedicated and do what’s best for your team and business on a consistent basis. If you aren’t consistent, you will let your team down and everyone will miss out on the skills, expertise and ideas you have to offer, not to mention profitable opportunities.
When you are consistent as a team member, your colleagues will know they can rely on you and you will work together as a strong group, all moving in the same direction, and achieve success faster.
Consistency is one of the most important habits you can form as a business owner or network marketer. Consistently putting time and resources into your top priorities, treating your business like a business and being a consistent leader and team member will pave the way for success so you’ll see big results from your business.
