Back in my early 20s, I immersed myself in personal growth. The first course I attended was called The Master Key Program. At the time, it was really unknown territory. Some people even labeled it as a cult and told me that I was crazy to spend money on a weekend training like this!
Luckily for me, I didn’t listen!
I now know for sure that all of the work I did on myself directly affected my success in my personal and work/business life. At the time, I did not realize the positive impact it was having, but then I watched my goals and dreams come true!
I have so many examples of this! One is the story of my first true love… my little red sports car. And my dream of going to Italy turned out even better than I could have imagined when we got the chance to live there for 3 fabulous years. There are more incredible stories like doubling my net worth in just 5 years, becoming mortgage free, and being able to travel the world.
Most of us have had some type of adversity to deal with throughout our lives. I know the personal growth work I did over the years, helped me get through some of the toughest times. Like losing my father when I was 21 and later losing our 2nd daughter at birth. More recently, I faced the loss of my sister to breast cancer and my mother’s passing.
There is no doubt in my mind that growing personally gives you the strength you need to move forward in your life. If we don’t improve ourselves, we can’t expect to improve our situation in life.
This is one of the reasons I fell in love with the network marketing business model.
The built-in personal development offered by these companies helps you realize that investing in yourself and your own growth is paramount when trying to achieve your goals. In Robert Kiyosaki’s book, The Business of The 21st Century, he endorses the network marketing model and talks about 8 assets that this industry brings. While I won’t list them all, I have to mention Asset #2: A profitable path of personal development.
Most networking marketing companies offer business training & personal development training as part of the overall business investment. You’ll often hear people in our industry talk about how their network marketing business changed their life.
Along with my coaches and mentors in my network marketing and real estate investing businesses, I have been a student along the way and then quickly joined the ranks of my mentors! I totally contribute that success, and the subsequent wealth, to the work I have done to grow myself.
