Building Assets Will Give You More Peace Of Mind

The Covid crisis has turned everything upside down and inside out for most of the population.  Many people are very worried about their own personal economy and how they are going to put food on the table, never mind put money aside for vacations, kids college education, or retirement.

When you work a traditional 9-5 job, it can be difficult to build assets because you lack freedom of time and resources that can make this easier. But, when you have your own home-based business inside of network marketing, you have the tools and capabilities needed to build assets. Here a few important things I learned:

Understand the Power of Residual Income

Residual income is income that you earn repeatedly from a single item or work effort. Instead of trading your time for money, you free up your time by earning money for the same thing over and over again.

This type of income is powerful because it gives you ultimate freedom of time and money. It means you are no longer constrained by a boss and income caps. You don’t have to spend every day counting hours and working for a paycheque.

When you harness the power of residual income, you can put your time and resources into a single effort and continue to build wealth through it. You will receive an income while also building a valuable asset. 

Find the Right Opportunity

Most people dream of this kind of lifestyle but don’t know where to start. To create a residual income, you need to find the right business opportunity. As your business grows, create an “asset fund” that you will add to until you find a second asset. That is exactly what I did.

There’s a lot that goes into finding the right opportunity, but it all starts with doing your due diligence. Before you jump into a network marketing/direct sales opportunity, do your homework to learn all you can about the business, how you will earn money, and what it will take to make the business as valuable as possible.

As a network marketing professional, I have multiple streams of income coming in through this business model.  I take business profits and invest them into real estate as a way to build financial assets. I earn an income from my real estate now but those properties are also assets I can rely on later if I need to.

The residual income you earn from network marketing can work even harder for you when you invest in that second asset.  This is the power of multiple streams of income, but only if done correctly.  Otherwise, you risk losing your thousands and thousands of dollars you have built up.
