One of the things I love to do is walk along the beach. For me, this is my favourite way to take time for myself.
The water is calming and being outdoors is so energizing, all at the same time.
Yep, it’s my water therapy!
Of course, I prefer to walk the beach in a place that is warm. And that is exactly what I am doing these days, spending some time for myself in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and regenerating.
Too often we get so focused on our personal and business life that we forget to slow down and take time for ourselves.
It’s not just about a two week vacation to chill out, it’s about making sure you’re doing this for yourself on a regular basis.
We all need our space to think, meditate, regenerate and to do something for ourselves.
“Life is all about balance. You don’t always need to be getting stuff done. Sometimes it’s perfectly okay, and absolutely necessary, to shut down, kick back and do nothing.” – Lori Deschene – Author and Founder of Tiny Buddha.
My 3 year old granddaughter is a wonderful reminder of this. She always lets us know when she needs her own space and time for herself.
So that is why I walk the beach, meditate before going to bed and listen to soothing inspirational people such as Yung Pueblo, one of my favourites on Audible.
It is all about bringing me back down to earth from the daily issues that arise in my personal and business life.
It helps me get through whatever I have to deal with. I think you might feel the same!
So are you taking time for yourself on a regular basis?
Do you need some ideas on how to do that? I would love to talk with you about it.
