Take A Leap Of Faith

Reading time: minute(s)

Every day we are presented with situations that require us to make a decision. Especially in these uncertain times, we have to act with a sense of urgency and it may require us to even take a leap of faith.

With being self-isolated in our homes, we still have decisions to make even if there fewer than when things were normal.

In essence, even a non-decision is still a decision.  So why take a leap of faith?

When it comes to a business opportunity, why is it that some people can make a decision right away while others need to go through a lengthy process, an “analysis by paralysis” type of approach?

Why do some people make a decision immediately while others take days, weeks, or even longer?

Does it depend on your mindset?  Yes and it also depends on your vision!

In business, we are presented with opportunities every day.  We are approached with an idea, a product, an investment, an adventure and the list goes on and on.

When I learned about the network marketing business idea from my sister, I took a leap of faith.  I did not know anything about the business, but I knew what my vision was and I saw this as the opportunity that would get me there.

I had a gut feeling that it was right for me!

Many times decisions are made on gut feelings which are basically leaps of faith.  A leap of faith is our sub-conscious doing our due diligence quickly without us knowing it or analyzing it.

So when it comes to an opportunity  – is important to you?  Does it resonate with you?  Is it in line with your character, your vision, your ethics and your goals in life?

What are the people like who are involved?  Do you trust them, do you like them and can you work with them?  Are they proven in business?

The products or services are key in any opportunity.  Do the products resonate with you?  Would you use them personally?  Is it a growing industry?

The risk can be the deciding factor for many people unfortunately.  If you are risk adverse, then no business opportunity will ever be accepted, especially if it requires you to do something different. – i.e invest, work differently, change your habits, etc.

“If someone offers you an amazing opportunity and you’re not sure if you can do it, say YES and then learn how to do it!” – Richard Branson

Then there is mindset especially in today’s economic climate.

Do you want to grow, change your life, do something different.  Do you have goals that you are not going to achieve, doing what you are doing now?

A positive, progressive mindset will allow you to take a leap of faith when an opportunity presents itself.  It will not hold you back. Mindset will determine if you succeed or not.

People do dangerous and risky things everyday, and they do them by taking a leap of faith.  Whether it is bungee jumping, parachuting, or mountain climbing, they know there is risk, but they have done their own internal due diligence to decide to proceed.

So do the same thing with your approach to business opportunities – take a leap of faith, proceed with your gut feelings, have fun and change your life!
