Step Up And Lead

Reading time: minute(s)

Never has it been more important for people to step up and lead.  This pandemic has created a new challenge, one in which we should not and cannot just sit back and wait for it to pass.

“Challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.” – Joshua J. Marine

With this challenge, we definitely all need to step up and lead.

That means being proactive and following the guidance that has been given to us to not only protect ourselves but also to protect others.  That is leadership.

Whether it is wearing a face mask, practicing social distancing, or just staying home, we all have to demonstrate leadership by setting the example, more than ever before.

Now is the time to demonstrate leadership with your business as well.

How can you add more value to peoples’ lives through your business?  Do they need information from you about your products or services?  Or do they need assistance, advice or do they need to be comforted in some way through your business?

Start leading by asking these questions.

Maybe by doing so you will unlock more opportunities than ever before. This is not about taking advantage of people, it’s about addressing their needs.  It’s about showing that you care enough about them to go the extra mile.

When this all started, I’ve had so many people checking in to see how I was doing and I’ve been doing the same.  In all of this, we’ve been having deeper conversations.  Would you agree, going deeper is what the universe may be asking us to do during this crisis?

By the way, I had a lovely surprise, when my hairstylist saw my upcoming hair colour appointment in her calendar, she kindly arranged to drop off a kit to me so that I could do it myself!  And then picked up the equipment after I was done.  She addressed my needs and because of her initiative and leadership, I appreciate her so much more.

Are you taking the lead with your business like she did?  If not, why not?

We all have to change our way of thinking in operating our business.  It may only be short term or it may be forever.  But don’t ignore the opportunity to grow.  Challenge yourself to overcome this challenge.

This means changing the way you do your business.

“Being challenged in life is inevitable, being defeated is optional.”– Roger Crawford, author, motivational speaker, and physically challenged tennis professional

Step up and lead is the only way out of this crisis, so let me know how creative you’ve been and how you’re adapting to these new challenges in our world.

I’m doing a lot of virtual meetings, so if you’d like to chat, feel free to book an appointment here.
