Celebrate the action. Not the result…. doesn’t that sound backwards?
One of the most positive things you can do for yourself is to celebrate what you have accomplished. But too often, we only focus on the end result and when we haven’t got there yet, we can feel disheartened, fearful and we can start to lose our energy and motivation.
Our mental state can also deteriorate.
We can even start to procrastinate and develop bad personal habits. This is what can happen when we only focus on the end result and not on the small incremental actions that we need to do to get us there.
As a farm girl, I grew up knowing that our daily work did not result in bountiful crops overnight. But I knew that those crops would grow if we accomplished certain actions every day. And every night, around the dinner table, our family celebrated those actions and went to bed feeling proud of what we had done and ready to do it all again tomorrow.
The small incremental actions are progress!
And because it is progress you need to celebrate it. Say to yourself… ‘I took action today’… ‘I am on my way’…‘I’m on the right path’… ‘Yes!’
These daily ‘yays’ are food for your brain. It is positive affirmation that will keep you motivated and help you deal with any setbacks. Make this a daily habit because the brain really wants more and, guess what, you can change your vibration and ultimately improve your results.
Don’t you feel good by completing these actions, these small wins?
Do you now want to do more? Has it had a positive impact on your mindset?
Do you feel good about yourself? Of course you do!
It is said that a little progress each day adds up to big results.
So celebrate those little actions because you are on your way to success. By doing so, you will overcome any fear and procrastination, have a positive and fulfilling mindset, and stay committed to your end result.
