You don’t know what you don’t know.
Last week, I wrote about starting a side hustle or home-based business to generate more income for you.
I am passionate about doing this and one of the ways I started my side hustle was through the network marketing business model. And I am so glad I did.
If it wasn’t for this business model, I would not be where I am today.
After the first year and reaching my goals, I invested my networking marketing income to create legacy and financial freedom. So, today I own several income properties across Canada.
For many people, this business model immediately raises red flags for them, mainly because they are not fully educated about network marketing. They think it is a scam as they listen to the opinions of people who failed at it. Or they listen to those who are less knowledgeable than they are.
So let’s look at the facts.
Network Marketing companies have been around since the 1930s.
Not all Network Marketing companies are the same, so you have to do your due diligence when getting involved.
Yes, some have given this model a bad name. However, many traditional companies have also given bricks and mortar, franchises, financial institutions, etc., bad names as well. None are perfect.
So it is imperative that you do your due due diligence before getting involved. I certainly did mine and I even wrote a book to help others with due diligence and understanding the model. It’s called ‘Creating Freedom’.
You can build the business part-time as a compliment to your day job, and work it anytime of your day. Or you can jump into it as a full time endeavour!
The bottom line, it is flexible to meet your needs.
You can work the business from anywhere. Your home, a coffee shop, any city or town, on social media, in a foreign country, and with anyone that is interested.
You can launch it for a minimal cost, anywhere from a couple of hundred dollars to a few thousand. Meaning in most cases your return on investment (ROI) will be quick.
Because you are operating a home based business, you are entitled to declare business deductions annually. This is something you cannot do working for someone else. This will help expedite your ROI.
You are in business for yourself, but not by yourself.
The company that you are in partnership with provides everything. The products/services and development, sales guidance, training and records, shipping, legal groundwork, marketing, payout and so on.
Your role is to educate people about the products/service.
You are part of a larger team that is vested in helping you succeed, and at the same time you are dedicated to helping your personal team succeed. This creates leverage and it is a win-win situation.
Yes, you can earn income while you are still learning the business. You don’t have to know everything to get started. You can create cash flow in your very first month if you are coachable and follow the system your company already has in place.
It takes work, but everything that is worthwhile in life takes work.
So before you pooh-pooh network marketing make sure you get all the information. You see, you don’t know what you don’t know.
Word of mouth is still the number one way to market products and always will be because it’s all about a human connection.
And where else can you find a ready-to-go, turnkey home based business, with low investment, to get your side hustle going? Again, you don’t know what you don’t know.
