It’s time to “Woman Up” is my way of referring to what is normally “Man Up”.

This implies a woman is brave, strong or tough enough to deal with any unpleasant situation.

To me that is what “Woman Up” means.

So when we talk about your personal or business life, are you doing that?

Are you leading? Are you showing up every day?  Are you addressing the uncomfortable and the unpleasant?

Are you overcoming your self-doubt?

You see most of us are held back because of fear.

That fear can paralyze us, make us procrastinate and create doubt in ourselves.

As Alan Weiss says in his book, Fearless Leadership, “We often fear things despite massive evidence to the contrary that we have nothing to fear.  Fear is visceral, so we seldom ask why we are so afraid. The answer to that question is revelatory.”

This is a great book, and I highly recommend it.

So in many situations, your fear is unwarranted.

Why do we fear heights when we have never fallen? Why do we fear flying (one of the safest modes of travel) when we have never been in an accident?  Why do we fear public speaking if we have never given a speech?

When we face our fears, it releases all that anxiety that has been building up in us.

I don’t know of anyone who has not felt so much relief when they actually address it.

I’m not saying not to be fearful.

I’m saying don’t let it stop you from acting and doing what you should be doing.

Whether it is making a presentation, dealing with client, contacting a prospect, investing in an opportunity, buying a property, initiating hard conversations and so on.

You have to face the fear and go forward.

That is why I say, it’s time to Woman Up

It is time to step it up, take the lead, deal with the issue, take action and overcome that fear in you.

Here’s my mantra for you today – Wake Up, Woman Up and be a Fearless Leader!

When you do, you will wonder why you ever held yourself back.
