The Magic of Part-Time

Reading time: minute(s)

Recently I attended a leadership conference on entrepreneurship.

It was a fantastic event with many wealthy entrepreneurs sharing what they did to get to where they are today in achieving multi-millionaire levels of income and lifestyle.

They talked about following the process, working long hours, never giving up, living beneath your means, personal sacrifice, focusing on the end goal, having discipline and so forth.

“If it is to be, it is up to me.” – Jim Rohn

They talked about being a leader and an influencer and how your team watches what you do, not what you say.  In other words, your actions are the example that you have to set for your team, for them to follow and duplicate.

We have all heard it before, but when someone goes through it and tells you their story, with emotion and pain,  it has such a greater, more moving impact.

But a point that stuck with me, was ‘the magic of part-time’.

The magic of part-time.

We live in a time where we really need a side business (a plan B) so that we can create multiple streams of income.

I learned this strategy of MSI’s a few years back during my mentorship with Bob Proctor, Eric Worre and Robert Kiyosaki.  This stuck with me and is the reason why I continue today to teach and train people on the value of residual passive income.

When I had to be away from my business because family needed me during illness, I was able to be there for them. And my income still continued to come in.

And on a more positive note, I’m able to get away on vacations at a drop of a hat, and my income still continues to come in.  This is all because I discovered the ‘magic of part-time’ a few years ago.

Jobs can disappear overnight. Companies can go bankrupt or relocate. Look no further than at Sears and General Motors. No job is guaranteed.

So the magic of part-time is that you can start your own side busines while you still have your day job. The best part is, that it only requires a low investment upfront, but can give you a quick ROI (return of investment).

You do need to focus on building, in other words treating it as a business rather than as a hobby. This way, you reap the benefits of being an entrepreneur. And at the same time, create massive residual income for years to come.

It takes work and time. It is not a lottery, it is not an overnight success.

And I might add, that all the speakers at the conference were not overnight successes.  It took them years to get to where they are today.  There was personal sacrifice, but in the end it was so worthwhile.

We can all make excuses as to why we cannot start a part-time business.  No time, no money, no ability, no hope.

As Jeff Roberti, multi-million dollar earner says “you can either make excuses or you can make money. You can’t make both!”

So make a decision today to stop making excuses and experience the ‘magic of part-time’!
