Many people still today do not understand the Network Marketing business model and what it has to offer, even with all the information there is on-line.
My story is probably no different that anyone else’s. I knew nothing of what this business model had to offer even though I had been a franchise owner and an executive in the corporate business world.
My sister introduced me to network marketing because she saw something in it for me – more time with the kids, my own home-based business, my own schedule, portability (since my husband was in the military and we were always moving), tax benefits, flexibility, professional support, leverage, and a better quality of life.
Yes, I knew about Amway, Mary Kay, Avon and Herbalife, but I certainly did not understand the business model because I was too busy with all the other issues around a traditional business – accounting, staffing, ordering, logistics, inventory, rent, and so on.
Eric Worre, the network marketing guru, recently interviewed Tony Robbins about the network marketing model and why people should consider it. Tony best summed it up as follows:
“All the benefits of a business owner without all the headaches.” – Tony Robbins
So what did he mean by that statement? Well let me explain it in more detail, the beauty of network marketing.
Low Risk
In the interview, Tony talks about the number of businesses that fail after 10 years. The number is staggering, at 96%. Why?
Because, they are not profitable. You can only stay in business if you are profitable.
So, most traditional businesses normally require capital to get started and capital to keep it going at the beginning until you start generating revenue. That means an investment and when are you going to get your money back or return of investment (ROI)? This is the risk. Franchises can cost anywhere from $500k to $1M or more! Some businesses never get it back and close down very quickly.
For most network marketing businesses, the ROI is quick because the initial investment is so low to start your own business. And remember if you are in a network marketing business you are the CEO of your business.
Minimal Overhead
With a traditional business, you need to deal with many things that I mentioned above. Inventory, ordering product, computer equipment and software, website & maintenance, rental space, staff, accounting, payroll, transportation, are all required. And this costs money. Perhaps you had to take out a large business loan to get started as well, and have the stress of meeting the payment costs.
But with network marketing, your overhead is minimal. The investment is low. There is no inventory, no rental space, no payroll, no staff to manage, no set hours to keep, no commuting back and forth to a store.
You are working from home, on your schedule, and on the pace you want with all the tax benefits. The company delivers products directly to the customer through online ordering and automated monthly shipments.
Amazing Support
Now with starting your traditional business, where do you get the support you need on a daily basis? This is a very important question.
Do you have a mentor, someone you can reach out to every day, for advice and guidance? Or are you on your own? Do you have the right tools? Do you or can you afford to pay someone to provide the business support you need or do you have to do it all yourself? These are many of the questions that new business owners have to face and deal with.
But with a network marketing business, you have your upline (team leaders) to provide guidance and advice. The company provides you with the necessary tools to make your business successful. This can include pamphlets, processes, tracking of your business, performance measurement, notifications, regular team mentoring calls, and so forth.
Yes, you may have to have a computer, but with some companies everything can be done even on your smart phone through a special APP.
With a network marketing business, everyone is working to help you succeed, as quickly as possible.
This is the true value of a win-win lifestyle business.
Anyone Can Do It!
The last point I want to make is that everyone and anyone can do network marketing! It does not take a college education, it does require retail experience, it does not involve a huge investment in time and/or money.
There are people from all walks of live involved in this business model, a model built on the age-old social methodology – face to face contact. It can be part-time or full-time. It’s your choice!
We have teachers, life coaches, nutritionist, fitness trainers, chiropractors, pastors, pilots, military personnel, bankers, government workers, real estate agents and many more on our team. This model attracts those who want more out of life.
So You Have a Choice . . .
Network marketing is a choice and an opportunity. It is definitely worth looking into and doing your due diligence in researching a company and its products. Both of these have to resonate with who you are, what you believe in, and what you want to become.
That is why I wrote the book “Creating Freedom – What you need to know to be successful in network marketing”. If you are serious about a network marketing business then this book is for you. If you want more info about my programs and what I offer, contact me here.
