It’s Time To March Forward

Reading time: minute(s)

In one month, it will be the end of the first quarter, so are you still on track?  If not, I’m reminding you that it’s time to march forward.

Have you ever in your past life taken the plunge and got something very important accomplished in a very short time?

When you think back about it, what was it that made you act in a focused, decisive, courageous and determined way?

Was it the urgency? Or, was it the importance?  Was it the emotional aspect to it?

I remember when I was with my first direct sales company and I had a lofty goal to meet by the end of the month and it seemed impossible as my sales were not even half way there. Plus I had a trip on the last 3 days of that month to travel to see my sister in Japan!

I could have given up, but instead I got super focused with a no-excuses mindset. I went into consistent persistent action and ended up reaching my goal.  Needless to say, it was a great celebration with my sister in Japan.

This was a defining moment and that’s when I realized if it’s important enough to you, then you can create your own success!  p.s.  I have many other stories, but this one stands out the most:)

So let’s look at your business right now.  Is it doing what you want it to be doing?

For many people, new business goals were set for 2020 and now there is one month remaining in the first quarter.

Is the business performing as expected?  Are you where you want or need to be? Have you reviewed your performance measures?

Have you lost focus on the end goal and the big picture?  Are you holding yourself accountable or already making excuses?

If you are not where you want to be, then it’s definitely time to march forward!

As Gary John Bishop says in his book Stop Doing That Sh*t, “in your day to day life you are, for the most part, on autopilot.”

Get off autopilot right now!  It’s time to march forward!

That means stepping it up in the last month of the quarter. Let loose on your full potential.

Be disruptive!

By the way, one of the best books I’ve read on this, is The Disruption Mindset by Charlene Li which I highly recommend it.

So what have you got to lose?  Progress, achievement, success, peace of mind, your business?  Well, all of these and perhaps more!

“Growth is painful.  Change is painful.  But nothing is as painful as staying stuck where you do not belong.” – N.R. Narayana Murthy, Co-founder of Infosys

You do not belong in the stuck mindset.

So it is time to march forward and make a decision.  Armies don’t win battles by being idle.  They have to march forward and meet the challenges head on.

And so do you.  You will not win with being idle.  You have to move your feet and now is the right time.

So re-focus, re-think and re-plan what you have to do to the end of the quarter, understand the urgency, and take the necessary action.

It’s up to you!
