Even though it was a corporate role, my “office” was mostly my home, and my schedule revolved around store visits and remote planning.
At the time, this kind of setup was unusual.
Most of my peers were still clocking in at 9 and out at 5. I was juggling time zones, team calls, and strategy sessions from my kitchen table (with a great lipstick, of course).
What I didn’t know then was that I was getting a sneak preview of the future of work.
