Our mindset, as we all know, is the key to our success in life.
And yet it is something we often do not pay enough attention to. It has to be nurtured. It has to be fed constantly because there is so much today that can wear it down.
Our mindset is affected from the day we are born. It is under constant attack.
Many times we are told we can’t do something or we will never have this, or we don’t have the ability or we are not smart enough, and so on.
Sure we hear positive comments too, don’t get me wrong, but the negative ones have much more impact on us and on our mindset.
When we try something new and fail, we often believe that there is no hope for us, that we can’t do it, that we are a failure. Sound familiar?
Our mindset becomes warped on all of the negativity. What started off as a positive healthy mindset has become a bleak and hopeless one.
And then the guilt and shame sinks in.
And down the rabbit hole we go . . . falling and flailing, until we give up.
I had to work on my mindset all my life, from the days I was growing up on the farm with no running water to building my own passive income business.
I also had the mindset to manifest my dreams and goals. I have already experienced so many of them! This is a big part of having a freedom mindset.
I was indoctrinated early to be an entrepreneur.
There were many setbacks along the way, both personal and business ones which could have easily made me give up.
It was not easy, but I had the mindset, I believed in myself, and I knew what I wanted in life.
And I kept feeding my mindset, my freedom mindset, to get me there.
Years ago I wrote an ebook, called “Creating Freedom”. This was my blueprint for the freedom mindset.
I wanted to build a passive income business that would give me the freedom I wanted.
So I had the mindset – now, I just had to do the work.
But I’ll tell you, that mindset kept me focused on my goals and kept me working towards them. So as a result, I accomplished what I wanted to accomplish.
So do you have your own “freedom” mindset?
If not, do you want to develop one? I would love to talk to you about it.
