Change Is Good

Reading time: minute(s)

I took some time last week to relax, rejuvenate and refresh in a warm, sunny climate.

It was just what I needed to break the cold, snowy and dreariness of a long winter in Canada.

I couldn’t do it if wasn’t for my business, which allows me to enjoy life and work from anywhere, whenever I want.

Change is good.

And this is what I believe – “to change is to evolve into what you want and need to be.”

The spring is almost here to invigorate and boost our lives, our bodies, our minds and our relationships.

Why not do this every once and while?  Otherwise we remain stagnate and our minds stay cluttered.

It’s time for renewal, new growth and refreshing change from the cold frosty embrace of the winter months.

“The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but building the new.”- Socrates

I remember my Mom on the family farm, getting my sister and I to do the spring cleaning.  We both hated it and fought doing it. But when it was all said and done, it felt so much better and we were so glad of the ‘clean’ feeling and what we accomplished.

So while I sat on the beach listening to the waves roll in, I started to think of why change is good. And how I plan to change things up and do my own internal spring cleaning!

I started journaling my ideas, and developing a game plan.

I examined a few things that would make a difference.

For example: what I need to do less of, and at the same time what I need to do more of. How I want to structure my calendar with my daily business activities. And of course, what’s working and what’s not.

And most of all, I looked at the clutter in my life and the things I needed to get rid of.

I was changing things up for me and my business.

Too many of us don’t take the time to do this.  We get bogged down with the same old routine, day after day.

It takes time and a concerted effort to do this.  But just like spring cleaning, don’t fight it, just do it. You will be glad that you did.

So how are you changing things up this month?

Let me know what you plan to do this month to change things in your life and your career.  I’d love to hear from you.
