Magic Happens When These 3 C’s Come Together

I was thinking the other day about my fabulous team and the people that are on it.  I am so grateful to be associated with these outstanding leaders in my business and in my life.

When you start thinking of all the people that are on your team, it is shocking.  Have you ever listed all your team members and their backgrounds?

If not , then maybe you should.  You will realize how grateful you are to have these people on your expanded team and the impact you are making collectively.

So I listed mine here, just to give you an idea. On my team I have consultants, government personnel, entrepreneurs, bankers, dieticians, naturopaths, chiropractors, physiotherapists, top level athletes, teachers, doctorates, accountants, managers, fitness trainers, pastors, coaches, military pilots, real estate professionals and investors, nurses, sales professionals, stay at home moms and many more. The list is so diverse with different academic or non-academic backgrounds ranging from millennials to baby boomers.

What do they all have in common?

Unity of purpose. Teams are successful because everyone is on the same page. They are all working towards the end result, the vision, the main objective. This gives the team so much strength. They totally believe in what they are doing.

“The glue that holds a team together is the unity of purpose.” – John C.Maxwell

When I first started in my home business of direct sales/ network marketing, I didn’t realize how much team building would make a difference in my business and my life. You see, I was used to doing everything myself to earn an income. So, my team leader coached me on the business strategy and before I knew it, it started working and I found myself loving the team building aspect of my business. It also helped me understand the concept of leverage and residual income and how we can help team members reach their goals and dreams.

We all know that we can accomplish so much more as a team, than by ourselves. That is a given. That is why we seek out others to help us accomplish what we want to do.  In most cases we cannot do it alone.  And why would you?

Being part of a team has so many benefits for both me and my team members.  Magic happens when these 3 C’s come together. (Plus it’s a lot more fun!)

Community

My team is a community of people who have the same purpose, interests, beliefs and goals with respect to the business. And because we are a community we are all connected, and therefore supportive of each other and what we are doing. In a way, we are our own movement.

Collaboration

As a team you’re always collaborating on your business, discussing processes and coming up with new ideas. My team members provide so much value on a daily basis, with each one bringing something different to the table.  Being able to call on their expertise at anytime, means you do not have to know everything there is to know yourself. This is very important, as it reduces everyone’s workload and knowledge level.

Contribution

Teams make a contribution and mine is making it very worthwhile in addressing a major social issue. Contribution makes people feel important.  Having a cause is one way.  But you also have to provide the environment for your team members so they can contribute. One way is to empower your team members. This can be done by calling on their expertise for specific tasks.  You don’t have to do everything yourself and your team members will feel appreciated every time they are called upon.

So be grateful for and appreciative of the team you have. They will help you get to where you want to go and you help them get to where they want to go.  It’s a true win-win!

“Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is success.” – Henry Ford
